144Hz or 240Hz gaming monitor stuck running at 60Hz
High refresh rate monitor is displaying only 60Hz in Windows display settings or feels choppy.

Change refresh rate in Windows Advanced Display
Right-click desktop -> Display settings -> Advanced display. Click the 'Choose a refresh rate' dropdown and select your monitor's native max Hz (144Hz / 165Hz / 240Hz).
Configure Nvidia Control Panel / AMD Adrenalin resolution list
In Nvidia Control Panel under 'Change resolution', scroll down past 'Ultra HD, HD, SD' to the 'PC' section. Select your resolution under 'PC' to unlock higher refresh rates.
