Interactive Fix Checklist

Download DDU from Wagnardsoft and download the standalone installer for your new graphics card. Disconnect PC from internet so Windows Update cannot interfere.
Reboot into Windows Safe Mode
Hold Shift while clicking 'Restart' in Start Menu → Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Settings → Restart → press 4 for Safe Mode.
Run DDU for the previous GPU brand first
In DDU, select , choose the OLD vendor (e.g. AMD), and click 'Clean and do NOT restart'. Then select the NEW vendor (e.g. Nvidia) and click 'Clean and restart'.
Install fresh GPU driver on normal boot
Run the downloaded driver installer. Check 'Perform a clean installation' if prompted, then reconnect internet.
