Interactive Fix Checklist

Press Win+R, run 'services.msc', find 'Windows Audio' and 'Windows Audio Endpoint Builder'. Right-click each and select 'Restart'.
Switch to generic Microsoft 'High Definition Audio Device' driver
In Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers → right-click Realtek Audio → Update driver → Browse my computer → Let me pick from a list → select 'High Definition Audio Device' (generic Microsoft driver) → reboot.
Disable audio enhancements in sound properties
Press Win+R, type 'mmsys.cpl' → select your playback device → Properties → Enhancements (or Advanced) tab → check 'Disable all enhancements'.
Set Default Format to 24-bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)
In the Advanced tab of device properties, select '24 bit, 48000 Hz' to prevent sample rate mismatch crackling.
